A message on COVID-19

It has been a challenging time for everyone. As members of the food industry, we have come together to continue serving our community and ensure the safety of our staff and associates. From the onset of the COVID-19 epidemic, we have been closely monitoring and proactively implementing all necessary precautionary measures to protect business continuity and collaborate in the collective effort for the containment of the spread. In this respect, we have implemented the below non – exhaustive list of key measures:

COVID-19 action team: The team closely monitors progression of the situation and is empowered to plan and implement appropriate precautionary measures.
Social distancing measures: Remote working is enforced where possible. For operations/tasks requiring physical presence, the risk is managed with the use of appropriate PPEs and enforcement of distancing.
Increased hygiene measures: Installation of additional sanitary stations and distribution and daily replenishment of disinfectants and appropriate PPEs.
Staff members are trained and continuously briefed on the increased hygiene controls/requirements. Sanitation routines have been enhanced and precautionary “full area” disinfections are performed on a rotation basis.
Business travel: Business trips have been cancelled until further notice.
Incoming/Outgoing materials/services: Vehicles and drivers delivering materials are screened at the gates, issued all necessary protective equipment, and prohibited from entering company buildings. Documentation exchange in performed in a control manner with assigned staff, use of appropriate PPE’s and handling procedures.
Occupational doctor: An occupational doctor is present in our infirmary performing daily rounds, temperature checks, briefing staff members and answering questions.
Action plans have been drafted in case of confirmed cases, covering staff/area quarantine procedures, disinfection procedures and recovery plan.
Production planning: We are in close communication with suppliers of raw materials, packaging materials and services and request duly notification for any foreseeable disruptions/delays that would prompt use of alternative suppliers.

Through strict adherence to official guidelines and restrictions, we have begun to see the light at the end of the tunnel. As we begin to glimpse into what the post-COVID world will look like, we remain committed to doing our part in this collective effort, always safeguarding business continuity as well as the well-being of our employees and family members.
